Can you build a sideboard top plate from Ikea Metod upper cabinets?

I would like to build a sideboard from Metod wall cabinets 60x100, 2.40 meters long (Besta no longer comes in this size and I don't want dozens of doors). Now I wonder, however, whether the wall cabinets placed side by side also have such a minimal overhang, as when you place Billy shelves next to each other. I hope this is expressed understandably. If yes, would the Ringhult top panel 2.40m (white high gloss) be suitable here? Is it laminated all around? Or does the wood show somewhere? The wall cabinets are 36.6 cm deep; the doors or drawers would still be added here and the top panel is 39 cm deep.

Yes, but the laminate is glued overlapping. I think on 3 edges, but you better look at this in an Ikea store.

Without the wall rail, the top side will protrude a little bit if it is flush with the body at the back.

About one millimeter of the sides also protrude at METOD, but even if not, it doesn't look good without a cover plate. You could also place two like these:

yes, I have thought about them too, but they are 40 cm deep so there would be even more overhang on the carcass, and I also don't know if a gap between the panels would look good afterwards. Hmm, I would actually love to tinker at Ikea sometime

I am waiting for the new catalog, but I hardly believe there will be much new that isn't already online.

If the top plate protrudes a few millimeters at the back, it doesn't even show.
