Having the calculations done sounds like a plan.

A move to Germany is pending, so that there will also be an employment contract with the German branch of the company and a permanent residence in Germany.

I also know colleagues who live in China and are paying off residential property in Germany with a German bank. This is basically possible if the bank wants to.
Five years ago, I inquired with a bank in Berlin with 80,000 euros in savings, and their response was essentially, "We usually don’t do this, but due to the fairly high equity, I checked with my supervisor, and we can definitely make you a loan offer."
Since it was a plot of land with [BT-Bindung] and the rule "construction must begin within 2 years" applied, I then stopped the process and we bought apartment 2.

A small addendum to the topic: I have just had a first conversation with a savings bank and the caseworker saw no problem in counting the expected rental income from the primary residence as official income. She has already done this several times with apartments in, for example, France or Spain and she wants to discuss it again with the international department because it is not in the Eurozone, but in principle it is probably possible. We will still have to sell one apartment, however, because the maximum loan alone will not quite be sufficient.
