Hello,
@ Bauexperte Doubts regarding Danwood
It is somewhat "normal" that the layperson initially looks for the cheapest price. This one-sided search becomes fatal when the price at the bottom right of the offer does not turn out to be reasonable but rather "cheap." If the potential builder (still a layperson) can classify this "cheap" offer price through further research (construction diaries, forums, etc.), everything is fine. But if he relies unfiltered on the statements of the flashy pictures and thus implies a often suggested higher quality of the offered service and takes this appearance 1:1, then it usually becomes expensive. Always only after signing the work contract, that is the hallmark of so-called cheap providers; in the worst case, threatening existence, if the financial package arranged at this point does not allow expensive refinancing!
For me personally, cheap providers have a reason to exist because the market demands it forcefully; comparable to a cheaply purchased children's T-shirt from Verona's favorite sponsor. No one cares that this garment was made under miserable working conditions – often also child labor – and usually does not survive the second wash unharmed. BUT: it is a T-shirt, cheap too. In my childhood, I learned that buying cheap always results in a very expensive second purchase. This learned lesson has completely receded into the background in times of "stinginess is cool."
That is one of the reasons why I dedicate some of my time to this forum. Not – as is often assumed – exclusively to shift the blame onto the evil provider or to generate orders. But also and especially to open the eyes of the layperson – within my modest possibilities – to his actions and the resulting consequences.
Maybe a cliché, but still true: Everyone is the architect of his own fortune ;)
Rhenish greetings
