If I connect a toilet bowl incorrectly to a concealed cistern, I should generally stay far away from an electrician.

Especially if the craftsman wants to make a big issue out of the water pipes or the sewage pipes leaking somewhere inside the sanitary partition wall.

Does anyone know if there is room for negotiation with the huge MSRP prices at the major sanitary suppliers, or are they uncooperative? Otherwise, we are also considering buying online or elsewhere.

So my plumber said right at the start of the conversation that he doesn’t install materials provided by the client. It’s a bit annoying because the store I was sent to only offers list prices. The standard specified by the general contractor is too ugly for us (except for the toilet bowl) and there are hardly any credits for it either. I’m still waiting for the supplementary offer, but I suspect I will tell him to prepare everything, put the stuff somewhere, and by the way, I’ll install the things I want myself. And then I’ll sell the stuff on Mini Bucht...

You can find very good things for bathrooms at Ikea; the Godmorgon series is (in my opinion) of very good quality.

I agree. The price-performance ratio is really strong. The bathroom cabinet we recently installed looks very high-quality and is well thought out for the small amount of money.
