Hello,

Curious question: why RC 5? Do you have so many valuables to protect that you fear a potential burglar would use power tools, such as jigsaws or angle grinders, despite the risk of being detected?

Hello everyone,

I am new here and would like to get advice from you. I want to install an additional window security on my windows. Next week I have an appointment with the security specialist in Bonn/ [Schlüsseldienst].

I don’t know anything about security systems and would like to know which ones you already have and which ones you think are recommendable.

Thanks for any advice

Best regards

There is, as already described, a cooperation between the police and companies that can deliver certain standards. Here locally, it would be Biffar (from whom I know), there is also one in Bonn.

Information is certainly available on the [police] website.

In addition, as already described here in the thread, I can recommend the on-site consultation with the police. On the one hand, a professional comes who advises based on his (and colleagues') experience. On the other hand – and this is very important from my point of view – the police advisor has no sales interest. He does not earn anything from his recommendations because he receives his salary from Papa State. With the police advisor, I was sure that he advises OBJECTIVELY. Simply search for consultation on the homepage of the local police (next larger city) and make an appointment.

One can fully agree with that.

It's already an older thread, but I'll still give my two cents! If it's about advice, you can also do that at a locksmith. I myself ordered such a security check and after inquiry, I made the decision to additionally secure the windows and doors with mushroom head locks. At the front door, a 5-point bolt lock and possibly an alarm system, but I still have to think that through carefully.
