There are good reasons for the generous area. It is accessible for disabled people and particularly wheelchair-friendly. Above the dining table, an open space is planned. Uncomfortable for some – for those who love an open design and light-filled rooms, just right. A matter of taste. The distance in the kitchen allows for cooking together without getting in each other's way. Personally, I prefer more space between the work surfaces rather than getting in each other's way. The way to the fridge may look far, but in reality it is quite manageable. The door to the office was moved so that a sofa can be placed opposite. Please do not consider the furnishings as fixed.

I assume that no more changes are possible. Is that correct?

Good idea, except for the missing chimney. We were advised against a slanted wall in the bathroom. The plan was to enter the living room from the hallway through a glazed French door. With a view of the greenery. Unfortunately, on the south side, you look onto the semi-detached house. The terrace is not visible from the wide sliding door and bathroom window.

If it fits you anyway, then why do you ask?

With 120cm you don’t get in each other’s way either – it only gets tight at an awkwardly placed washbasin, the fridge, etc. Unless you are both heavyweights over 120kg with corresponding width.

Bright and open is nice, I like that too, but it should still be cozy. A factory hall is also bright and open – but who wants to live there?

I don’t remember the whole thread anymore – is wheelchair accessibility a requirement? So does one of you use a wheelchair?
Then you have to completely redesign, because although a lot of space is wasted here, the whole thing is absolutely not wheelchair accessible. Just the toilet in the bathroom with the half wall has nothing to do with wheelchair accessibility.
