One can also have the individual planning done by the architect and then go to the local general contractor or timber house builder who will give a price for a part of the house. It is not necessarily required to award individual trades separately.
Is it possible to omit such a point from the HOAI, or would an architect agree to that and then take over the construction supervision? And what does the general contractor say about that? Also, that probably costs more than if the architect does everything right away ...
