Hello,

we are building a 230 sqm city villa, KFW 55. Planning the following technology:

- Air heat pump Waterkotte Eco Touch DA 5010, series DA 5018

- with 225 liter buffer tank for heat pump, 390 L hot water tank

- Ventilation system Waterkotte Eco Vent

- Photovoltaic system 8.1 kWp „Silver Line Heckert STP8.000TL“ with E3/DC S10 E 2Z, 4.6 storage

- all underfloor heating, all windows electric blinds

- pipe preparation for a later water-guided pellet stove

Built in Schleswig, 24837.

What do you think, is everything okay like this? It is hard to find suitable advice here and so we want to ask some “normal” consumers about their experiences.

Thank you very much

What is the heating buffer supposed to be for? I seem to remember that you shouldn't really do that. In the pink forum you will get further help.

Why heating buffer? It was never mentioned to us by the heating engineer - including Waterkotte Eco Touch.

He needs the buffer tank for the water-carrying fireplace - but both are not compatible with the heat pump.

I don't find the combo particularly well planned - sounds like the standard maximum profit for the general contractor or the plumber.

So the buffer has nothing to do with the fireplace, it is too small for that. It would have to be replaced later with a minimum of 500-900 liters depending on the fireplace output. Why doesn't the buffer fit, or why is it not compatible? I am not familiar with that. Building services come from a different company than the rest because since I want all devices from one manufacturer, the other company could not provide that. I would like to move towards hybrid to keep the electricity consumption of the heat pump low, in winter therefore to support the fireplace, in summer own electricity. are you satisfied with the device?

You already have 8 kWp solar on the roof (that is the most sensible thing you can do to support heating with a heat pump)... what do you expect for heating costs?! Without anything they are only about 500-600 € per year... with solar then probably half... that won’t pay off even in 100 years. (just a random guess)
