I don’t have children yet and have to contribute properly for the 154€ subsidy. Of course, there are situations where it makes sense. For me, it definitely was not the case.
The fact that one used to pay off early is theoretically clear. Practically, I am not so sure about many, as most do not increase the installment because of it or not to the full extent. Additionally, of course, you can then set aside the rest afterward, but how many years is that still? Furthermore, with a 754€ subsidy, there will also be a considerable amount of back taxation, so in my opinion, not much will be left over.
But you have to clearly see this in the respective context, and it also depends on one’s own discipline (just like special repayments, etc.).
