Hello ypg
no, that is not correct, we spent weeks on the floor plan and actually planned the ground floor and the upper floor very extensively. We actually gave the architect the floor plan and said: Please apply this to our house. The room layout would not change if the floor area becomes smaller, but the living area of the respective rooms would. My wife and I like and want large/spacious (can you say that?) rooms. It doesn't help if the floor plan is intelligently designed when in the end 15-20m² are missing.
The 10x10 idea came up because we are building a city villa. Due to our floor plan design we come a) to 180m² and b) to a square floor area. However, I have no idea whether about 90m² of living space can be accommodated on 100m² of floor area. (WDVS external wall thickness 32 cm etc..) I have now learned through your posts that this does not fit.
