Can't priorities change? Can't one change their own attitude? What feeling are we even talking about in a forum when we don't even know the person?! As if everyone here has been saving for the house since birth and does nothing but live sensibly... honestly
: please don't let anyone talk you into anything, I trust the feeling that you know what you're doing! It's being portrayed here as if it's really dramatic, like you'd almost get mental issues if you can't afford a Gucci bag anymore, which you never had to begin with
Exactly, and that's unfortunately the problem with such forums in my opinion: what is right is what is right for me and what I consider sensible, possibly also because I don't understand or want to understand anything different. Many consumers are denied personal responsibility; it has to go the way it goes for me.
Far too little is questioned, but a lot is posted; far too little is the consumer individually at the center, what counts is what is written and read, even though that sometimes doesn't even make up 5% of the relevant data one should know if one wants to give a sustainable, individual recommendation.
Well, then there's the typical German attitude or German behavior: how can he afford that and I can't, then it must be bad or the devil is in the details. Not that caution shouldn't be exercised, one should also warn and criticize, but generalizing and judging without facts, data, and figures helps no one, absolutely no one, especially since in the end one does it their own way anyway. I always think it's good when help-seeking consumers can be engaged in dialogue and supported with advice, suggestions, and experiences.
But I won't change anything about that anymore, that's just how it is; what's important then is only that people don't get personal, that everyone accepts and respects others and their opinions.
