Is the final construction cleaning part of the agreed service?

BDT and the remaining work can usually be done in parallel, but depending on how many doors you have where the baseboard still needs to be laid up to the frame, only a few hours—about two to three—are actually needed. So, if the acceptance takes place in the afternoon, that should easily work.

There is nothing about that in the construction service description nor in the contract, so I assume it is not part of the agreed service.

The acceptance is actually in the morning. However, I don’t know exactly if that even has to be done with the doors for us (I still can’t really imagine what that means – but thanks for your explanation anyway^^) – we have a ventilation system and the guy from the ventilation system said that a gap must remain under the doors everywhere for air exchange so that no overpressure / underpressure occurs.

Before the doors are installed, (hopefully) no baseboard has been installed yet on the right and left of the frame (on both sides of the door). Only once the frame is in place, the remaining piece is precisely cut to fit snugly up to the frame and then sealed. Clearer?

That the doors have a clearance cut due to the controlled residential ventilation is completely normal – it just has to be taken into account during installation or corrected afterwards by trimming the door leaf. However, this has nothing to do with the BDT, because that is only about the tightness to the outside (and not between two rooms). Despite its name, it therefore only has something to do with the house DOOR.

There was a clause in our construction contract stating that we were not allowed to touch the window panes without relinquishing liability for scratches. I also thought that it would be difficult to assess them without cleaning, but that’s how it was regulated.

Best regards
