Hmm, I think an inspector for the final acceptance here would cost me significantly more than 150€. :/

Yes, about double, but he possibly recognizes actual shoddy work that needs to be replaced to prevent bigger damage after some time. That wasn’t the case for me, but he also discovered scratches in three or four windows that were very small but in the visible area and therefore were also replaced. I would have been talked into accepting it as within tolerance. No idea what kind of equivalent value that has.

And even if it cost four times as much, it is money well spent.

So, slow down! Unfortunately, a lot of half-knowledge is circulating here! It is important, actually indispensable, to carry out a very thorough acceptance. For this, a "supporter from the field" should be consulted. There are civil engineers who are professionally capable of doing this. And there are some who additionally act as experts. I have been supervising construction projects for years and of course also carry out acceptances for my clients. I charge by the hour. The hourly rate is certainly not low, but as already described here, definitely worth it. If you order me (the same engineer) as an expert, you will pay significantly more for this service. That means: There are offices that have building surveyors or civil engineers, charge by the hour, are good and affordable!! Please eliminate the word expert!

For sure! It depends a bit on the federal state! But don’t be stingy when it comes to a built-in half a million. He represents you and your interests!! You’ll get that back with the acceptance! By the way: My personal ambition is to largely support myself!
