In general, it is offered by the BAFA. Regardless of new construction. Do not confuse it with the KFW.

This can be simply explained by the different quality of the franchisees in every respect.

Above all, I don't believe that you can be equally happy with all three providers: Your log house builder would offer you a shell home, while the other two would provide you with (albeit simple standard) "turnkey," but site-built houses in terms of scope of services. Moreover, none of the three have similarities beyond the nominal price in cross-comparison. If you would at least compare the same house type – but as it stands, these are really apples, oranges, and bananas. 1. Get clear about a suitable house type because you will never ever find a bungalow and a "one-and-a-half-story" house fitting in approximately the same way. 2. Then look for a structural shell general contractor, because this is a completely different concept than an economy turnkey construction. 3. Within this one track – not two completely different ones! – have three different providers make their proposals.

Here you will find two providers who can professionally support you on the suggested path – both in the SWR broadcasting area, but presumably there are similar service providers also in the north (otherwise you can ask both how far such support is possible remotely). Or you look for an architect-structural shell general contractor.

Then you don't have access points but repeaters in use. Good if it works for you. I know some who complain why the 250 MBit available at the router are not accessible everywhere in the house, even though quite decent repeaters are used. Connection speeds will continue to increase in the coming years due to fiber optic expansion. Therefore the suggestion for basic wiring for WLAN access points, and this is far from a fully-fledged network setup like the one I have in use.

Yes, correct. Repeaters that create a mesh for me.
Don’t get me wrong: if it is possible, basic cabling makes sense, no question.
The question is, as with everything else: what can I afford.

It is also true that the basic cabling is not particularly expensive, but everyone has to draw the line somewhere.
