As I said: I myself am from the countryside and I can definitely understand the desire to live in the green rather than commuting through a big city in the morning. I would also feel suffocated there.
Still, for me: choosing a place to live "solely" because of people (no judgment, before someone yells again "how can you call mommy a person") does not make sense to me. Friends did that. Bought a plot, built a house, everything wonderful. And then the environment (the reason the place was chosen) starts to change. Couples separate, people die, others move away because of jobs. Houses are sold and suddenly the neighborhood is no longer so wonderful.
This is not an attack, but these are things you simply have to be aware of. Nothing more!
For me personally, infrastructure would also always include the possibility to get some bread rolls in the morning, or quickly walk and buy a bag of milk in the evening. The mentioned friends have to take the car out of the garage for EVERYTHING because of the very rural location. That wouldn’t be for me.
Apparently, everything suits you there. Then that’s great and you should seize the opportunity. All good.
