What nonsense. The gypsum is airtight now, yes. But the component that matters is not! They should come back and do it properly. Remove the gypsum, seal correctly, put the gypsum back on. And yes, if it's already been plastered, it has to be redone.

To be honest, I found the sleeve on the plasterboard outrageous. I even called our construction supervisor again, the correct procedure would be:

1. Sleeve. As already mentioned here.

2. With sealing tape according to manufacturer specifications and a bit of suitable sealing compound.

Of course, before sticking, remove the dust from the vapor barrier, don’t touch the adhesive surface, etc.

I have now issued a written reminder and set a one-week deadline. If I don’t hear anything or if it is done poorly again, I will commission my construction company or a roofing company and will of course withhold the money from the installment payments.

Annoying, because actually it is just about 30 minutes of work at most. Some of the plasterboard is already gone anyway.

By the way, I did it myself now::With Sigaband strips, I reduced the hole with the cables in a scale-like manner, several thin strips between the cables so that there was hardly any air left. Then two-component sealing compound for vapor barriers around the cables to seal the minimal gaps. Then Sigaband was applied again connecting the cables and vapor barrier. Then the cables were enclosed in a thin cable distribution and plastered around it. The pipe outlet with the cables was sealed again with Sigaband as described at the beginning, so that the drywall has no cracks or other openings within a radius of at least one meter.

At some point I will have a roofer (by chance one from the Stuttgart East area here? ;)) check from outside whether the underlay membrane is properly sealed, if not he should apply sealing tape properly again.

Why did I do it myself? After the incident, my trust in this craftsman is at 0.0. And my building consultant said it wasn’t too dramatic and I could seal it as described above.

The same crap with the craftsmen everywhere. When they screw up, no one has the guts to fix their mess.

A Ytongg house is currently being dismantled because there was hardly any adhesive under the first row of bricks... The entire ground floor was already built, luckily without a ceiling.
