Hello everyone,
we are currently planning our new house and I am thinking about our shower. We have not planned a bathtub, so the shower should be as comfortable as possible. The shower is nice and spacious with 160x100. Therefore, we have also planned a bench. However, the designer has planned the dimensions as 100x35x45 (WxDxH). In retrospect, the depth of 35 seems quite shallow to me. I would prefer not to touch the cold tiles when sitting there. Therefore, a certain distance from the back to the wall should also be maintained while sitting.
What is generally recommended as a depth for such a bench? I am currently leaning more towards 45 or even 50.
Best regards
Martin
