Hello,
thanks already for the first suggestions.

I would also prefer glass walls, it should look bigger.

That is supposed to be a splash guard.

Could fit like that, how long should the shower be so that the whole bathroom doesn’t flood when showering?

It doesn’t have to be barrier-free, but you never know what else might come, we are both approaching 60.
There should be a bathtub for sure, we used to always have a tub.
It was rarely used, actually mostly showered, we always said: “Bathtub? Waste of space, we don’t need it.”
We are now living - temporarily - in NRW and only have a shower, and now we miss the tub .
So it’s a must-have, just like a shower, preferably walk-in.

I don’t find the toilet in the middle in front of the window nice, better the bathtub in front of the window.

Best regards
Olli

I find towel radiators quite practical, but it can go behind the door, we also have it like that now, so it doesn't get in the way.

[Towel radiators are quite practical, but they can be placed behind the door, we have it that way now and it doesn't get in the way.] Sure, if it doesn't bother you. You should just read here about this topic, often in connection with underfloor heating, so that you don't install something that doesn't work well. Currently, we have exactly two cases where it was connected to the underfloor heating and it doesn't work at all. From what I've learned here through a lot of reading, the topic of underfloor heating and heating in general was implemented rather clumsily. Therefore, it is sometimes alternatively recommended to create a hanging option, but the towel dries by itself during the day. So.....be careful when choosing the system, whether it fits your needs, that's what I meant. As I read, the focus is more on showering, preferably walk-in. Then I would definitely choose at least 140cm depth. I think your design is good, although the shower could be a few centimeters shorter, giving you more space around the toilet/bathroom. Maybe also look at other bathtub shapes....

Hello again,

the construction company's offer states
"in the bathroom towel radiator connected to the heating system or electric"

Currently, we have an electric one and underfloor heating.
However, we rarely turn it on; mostly our shower towels just hang on it...

Hello everyone,

after we have looked at and discussed all the suggestions and proposals, we have now come to a result. :) Of course, we don’t want to withhold this from you.
In terms of width, we somehow managed to squeeze out another 10 cm.
Now the internal dimensions are 3.55 x 2.30 m, (definitely can’t go any bigger :()
It will now be a 6-sided tub, leg dimension 1.45 x 1.45.
In addition, there will be a walk-in shower 0.90 x 1.90, toilet and sink.
For the shower, there will be glass walls about 2 m high.
Whether the towel dryer will be connected to the underfloor heating or the electrical grid is still open; according to the architect, both are possible. However, I think we prefer the electric one.

Feedback (positive + negative) is welcome – so that the family-internal discussions can start again – although, well, the plan stays as it is now, I hope. :)

Best regards, Olli

I think this is almost the best compromise. If the tub then gets a slightly nicer design, e.g. an egg with soft curves :D, then every area has its justification and its place. The rest is now done by the tile design ;)
