Or you separate between a bathroom for people and a bathroom for laundry, put the freezer, the washing machine, a utility sink, and gladly also the coat closet in the room accessible from the garage. And a laundry dresser, like the Malm from Ikea, for example. Then you need less storage space in the bathroom, so the Godmorgon under the sink is enough, a Kallax on a wall for the lady’s bottles, us men only have Duschdas one for all, deodorant stick and for Christmas there is always a bottle of aftershave from someone, I always wish for van Gils from Holland. So for the man, a corner somewhere is enough. My wife always throws the toilet paper into an African wicker basket that she bought at some Third World market, it stands next to the toilet in our bathroom and is full of rolls, around 5-10, so you never run out. Bathrobes, I bought Grohe hooks on Amazon and drilled them into the wall, looks good and holds. We don’t have a shower door, cleaning glass is annoying, we have a niche like you are planning here, too. Yes, and the towels are in the Godmorgon under the sink. I wouldn’t know what else needs to go in the bathroom. Oh yes, a towel rack. One hangs on the wall for the bath towels, heated with electricity, cozy cozy, the other one stands on the floor and has two or three arms, for the small ones, the ones for the flippers. Karsten

Technology and noise. Sitting on the couch with the Eipätt, next to me a wall made of Ytongg, behind it all the technology, I hear nothing. nada nothing.

Hello Karsten,
thank you very much. I just visited two colleagues who both built with aerated concrete. One has a Weishaupt gas boiler, the other has an air heat pump from Remko. Both occasionally make noises. I think with sand-lime brick you could build it like that.

Attached are two photos of how my small bathroom looks now. I do need some storage space for toilet rolls, tissues, etc... I could live well with a Hemnes 0.9x0.37m. Or just 2-3 wall cabinets.

I have now made a draft where you walk through the chamber. Then the bathroom gets smaller and the shower has to be fully integrated into the bathroom.

If I leave out the chamber and go through an enlarged hallway into the garage, the hallway at the back becomes quite dark...

Somehow I can’t make progress...

Best regards, Afralea.

I think the bathroom is good, but the hallway is a huge waste of space - I would call that "creative misplanning".

yes, I don't like the hallway either... better to make compromises in the bathroom

No, there is still a lot possible with the floor plan. Town & Country never had great ideas regarding designs. Have a look at Danwood, what they make out of a house this size ;)
