Hello,

we are currently in the process of organizing our bathroom …

The bathroom is 8.865 sqm in size (2.955 x 3.00). The window and the door can still be moved. We would like to have a shelf by the bathtub for shampoo etc., therefore 1 meter wide.

I have attached our two considerations.

Option 1

Advantage:

- Window (frosted glass) to the neighbor – away from the street

- Radiator accessible from shower and washbasin

- You don’t look at the shower from the toilet

Disadvantage:

- The shower is on the side of the pitched roof. In my layman’s opinion, this could lead to problems with the bathroom on the upper floor?! Or is it not a problem if the shower in the upper floor is placed on the other side of the room – away from the slope?

- Probably no space for a small cabinet next to the washbasin

Option 2

- Window (frosted glass) to the neighbors – away from the street

- Shower away from the slope in the upper floor

- Space for cabinet by the washbasin

Disadvantage:

- Shower door not aligned properly with the toilet

- Radiator not accessible from the shower

Maybe you can help us further

Best regards

PS: currently we are planning with a standard window 113 x 138.5 - but we could also be open to a horizontal window. That would have the advantage that it would not have to be frosted glass and therefore there could be more light in the room

In both versions, nothing fits. For example, in V1 you look at a wall from the toilet... The washbasin is opposite and far away from natural daylight. Make it standard: alignment on one side: shower and tub, on the other side toilet and washbasin. And don’t rotate anything, everything forward!!! This "boring" alignment has proven itself, saves space, and always looks elegant.

You mean like this?

This way, one should also be able to realize a walk-in shower

Yes - No - Maybe? :D

Yesterday we had a second horizontal window offered to us. It could then be placed facing the street, in the floor plan above the bathtub

Because a bathtub screams for a window?
No, it absolutely does not. And placing two different windows in a small space is not exactly productive.
