Genoa, [Noppenbahn] has nothing to do with sealing.

I mean position 2 in the image Sockel2 in the attachment.

According to the sketch from the image Sockel2, you actually have to seal from position 1 to position 2.
In my case (see image SockelBild) it will be about 1m high. A small difference is that below the facade plaster there is still a plaster edge. In my case, the second dimpled membrane will overlap it.

I plan to completely seal area 1.
Area number 2 is questionable.
What do you think?

Thanks for your reply and I wish you a nice evening.

I can't help with that. In our case, the studded membrane was applied in a single layer. I painted up to the beveled insulation panels, so up to the floor slab. If a craftsman is doing it, give him the specification from Heinz von Heiden as part of the contract. If your contractor does not comply, at least you have him lightly by the ears.

Best regards
Gabriele

Many thanks again for your help and experience. Without you, I wouldn't have done it. I started today. Haven't accomplished much yet because I was waiting for the weather. One question: what did you use to tape off the facade and plinth? I used crepe tape and it sticks very poorly. What do you mean by "yellow fineliner"? Thank you and have a nice evening.

Sure, thanks.

Yellow fineliner is painter’s slang for yellow masking tape, I like to use the one from kip, the one from Tesa is also okay. It is a smooth masking tape. It doesn’t damage surfaces, it doesn’t pull off paint, it leaves no adhesive residue, even after several weeks. Don’t use anything cheap, it’s no good. It doesn’t stick particularly well on the base plaster, but it held enough. You can find it in the painter’s shop. If you want to mark something and the line should be invisible afterwards, you can also find chalk markers where they sell artist’s paints, with which you can mark very easily. They can be washed off. They are like colored pencils, a lead with wood around it.
Best regards

Gabriele

Hello Gabriele,
I bought masking tape from Tesa and it holds. Before that, there was 3M (actually also a well-known brand?) The master painter recommends the brand Storch, however. Unfortunately, he only has the small version (15/20mm).

I need your help once again. How would you do the slope for perimeter insulation? The plasterer sawed and filled today (see picture). Is that enough? Is reinforcement not needed in this sloped area (like in the base area)?

Thank you for your help.
