Hello everyone,

on Saturday we might buy a plot of land – and they are really rare here.
Disadvantage (or however you see it): it is a rear building plot, or a very far back plot. The driveway is about 35 meters, and to the house probably around 40 meters.
Quick question: WHO has a similar plot and can tell me how high the costs (especially the earthworks) are for such a long access way? Surely connection costs are variable / connections anyway... but I would be enormously grateful for a rough estimate, because I have no idea at all.

Thanks, thanks!!!

We have similar conditions... for sewage, water, and electricity we paid 8,675 €. The telephone is always the same price (Telekom), we don’t have gas. Sewage is, of course, only partly due to the length. We are doing the driveway so that we only pave the first 12 m (60 sqm) and then lead only a footpath to the house. We want to use the driveway and are currently planning a greenhouse. In case of emergency, you should be able to drive through the carport to the house (our driveway is 5 m wide).

Oh, thank you very much for the response! Are the earthworks and everything included? All shafts, sewer pipes, cables, etc. - sorry, I am still at the very beginning - and no one can really estimate that. How many meters is it from the connection to the house? And did completely new connections have to be made? I’m just surprised that many people with a much shorter driveway had to pay about the same. The idea of paving is not bad.

Hi. We are facing a similar problem. From the still fictional house to the street is about 42m (there are 2 more houses before us). Estimated development costs: 32k. We are building in Berlin.

Yup - everything included. You can ask the municipality or the utility providers for the exact prices - it's usually per meter. With wastewater it wasn't quite... that reminds me, I still forgot that part from the municipality: €3636 - but that had nothing to do with the length, just with opening and closing the street.

So overall €11316 + €694 construction electricity + €600 telecom (of which you get back €400 depending on the contract)

I think we had 42 m.

: what do you count as development? Of course, if you have to dig up a highway it might be more expensive.

Hello Lenza,

32000€??? Then we can forget the whole thing quickly... can you roughly tell me what makes up the price?
