Hello to the forum! I want to build a carport on our garden plot, to store wood and as weather protection for the wheelbarrow, etc. So it doesn't matter to have a particularly precise and stable ground anchoring, since no car will be parked on it. Since this is a leased plot, I am not allowed to dig too deep or spread gravel or similar. So I will roughly level and compact the ground and then lay the ground plates directly on the lawn/soil. Since the base won't be completely flat, I wonder how to align the ground anchors. You have to screw them into the ground like huge screws, and you probably can't go perfectly vertical over the entire 90 cm. That's why my question is: how do you best align them so that the posts that go into them have the correct spacing at the top of the roof? I would be happy if you have tips for me!

What kind of floor anchors do you have? I would use ones with U-brackets; that way, you have a few centimeters of tolerance.

Yes, exactly, U-channels. But I don't mean the height differences so much, rather the deviations to the right and left or front and back. You can regulate the height by screwing a bit lower or higher, but when it comes to the direction of the closed U-profile, you can't adjust without bending it.

Can you tell me which ground anchors you use and what the carport looks like. (Regelzeichnung)

Put in a piece of wood about 40cm at a right angle (screw it in firmly) you need it anyway as a screw aid. Attach a spirit level to it with [Panzertape]. When screwing, check the bubble level after every 3/4 turn at the beginning and correct if necessary. Later less often, then you can't correct much anymore.

Correct the rest with a corner spirit level on the post when mounting the post on the support.

I'm not allowed to post links here, right? It's such an inexpensive wooden carport from the hardware store with 9cm posts. The ground anchors are from Bauhaus, the brand is Krinner.

That's my question above, how should you correct it if the post is already sitting in the U-carrier? That can only be done sideways where the U-carrier is open, right? Otherwise you would have to work against the steel and bend it.
