Astra interior doors / Garant interior doors

Does anyone perhaps have experience and can say something about the topic of quality? Also regarding ease of installation etc... The Astra are supposed to be spread in height during installation, the Garant not... Both were offered to us at the same price...

Then take the door that can be easily installed. If it is supposed to be spread in height, you don’t do it and afterward the frame is warped, you haven’t achieved anything. The manufacturer refers to improper installation according to the instructions and you can pop the door out again, which is a pretty crappy job.
Aligning with spreaders horizontally is sometimes fiddly enough, you don’t need one or two more spreaders vertically.
Make sure the rough dimensions are correct before the construction company packs everything up and you’re alone in the house. I was so naive and thought, what doesn’t fit, I’ll quickly rasp away, it’s just aerated concrete... it was a pretty sweaty and lengthy "quick removal" and all the mess on the freshly laid floor wasn’t funny either :D

Next week the door supplier is coming to measure if everything fits - the construction company is still there ^^ Which foam can you recommend? Soudal?!

No matter which one you take, please lather up fully and not just spot-wise. Adds a bit more sound insulation.

My Schwieva (>30 years of experience) first makes dots and then foams. Otherwise, you do too much at the beginning, which always makes a mess.

Oh, the subsequent foaming can also be done with "normal" construction foam. It's actually much cheaper. The spot reinforcement with the high-strength 2k foam is usually sufficient for the installation itself. The sound insulation is then not significantly different from standard foam.
