According to Google, one can of Soudal is enough for 2 frames... I have to order 8 anyway since I only have 3 frame clamps and I’ll get political problems if something goes wrong during installation ^^

Oh, the subsequent foaming can also be done with "normal" construction foam. It's actually much cheaper. The spot fixing with the high-strength 2k foam is usually enough for the installation itself. The sound insulation then isn’t significantly different from standard foam.

I was glad that I only had the mess once, no 10 guns would have made me go back over it with cheaper foam.
For me, the 2K foam was usually enough for full-surface foaming. For soundproofing, you don’t really need to make everything 100% "green," it’s enough to have a continuous thin "layer." 2cm of this foam insulates better than the highest quality soundproof door ever could.
Only with the 21cm-thick frame in the load-bearing wall did I have to open a second can... and throw away 50% of it in the box.

The fact that one can supposedly is enough for 2 frames doesn’t help you, because according to the instructions it must be completely emptied within 5-10 minutes. You can’t remove the clamps and realign on another door that fast. So just put the whole can into one door frame, it won’t hurt.

Oh... and also get the frame foam remover for when something goes wrong. I had to sand a wall and repaint it ;)

What does the professional use there? Soudal/Würth/illbruck?

If I remember correctly, my father-in-law always had Würth. However, he himself says that it is relatively expensive. I think I also once saw Illbruck with him.

Yes ;-) Depending on the professional's preference. The products are interchangeable.
