Couldn't a more terrain-following alternative to this raised ground floor configuration be found? From the street side, the house appears quite bulky. The gable roof on the house and the pyramid roof on the garage look a bit odd; the dormers alleviate this. From the entrance, you go straight down to the basement, and only secondarily to the living level (? ? ?)

First of all to everyone: Thank you very much for participating and thinking along!

Now it’s getting criminal, I have drawn a sketch of the orientation of the house. I hope the important points come across. The strange little squares in the house symbolize the dormers I am concerned with. These face south. I have also attached the rear view of the house with the dormers.

good point, I still have to check that, after the last changes I’m actually not sure.

The garage issue is settled, it will now have a flat roof. The entrance is at half height between the basement and the "EG", which means you go half a floor up into the EG and half a floor down into the basement. I am definitely open to ideas for a solution more in harmony with the terrain – I do see that it is quite a tower from the street side. However, I have the limitation that the basement, which is at least partially underground, is a must and I am not allowed to carry out excessive earthworks that would alter the property too much.

The downpipes come down about three quarters of a meter behind the breakfast stools. Then it will look "unbearable" in terms of the ratio of the building heights to each other. And precisely at this nominal parity, the direction that is straighter becomes dominant. Therefore, I would change the walking direction.

Do you really need the large basement? Otherwise, the garages could be integrated there.
