Hello!

Although I have already found a post about the Billy Morebo display cabinet doors here in the forum, I have a different problem and would be very grateful for any help.

I have already attached some doors, but Morebo is causing me problems. Although I somehow manage to get the hinges into the profile, they do not hold despite tightening the screws, and there is enormous pressure on the hinges (they cannot be "flipped" by hand at all and therefore would have to hold like concrete in order to be attached to the Billy shelf at all).

Has anyone of you ever had a similar problem?

Hello,

I have exactly the same problem.

I bought the doors in Berlin on February 12th.

You can clip the hinges into the Morebo door frame, but there is no way to tighten the screws on the aluminum frame... is there possibly a part missing in between?

But according to the assembly instructions, you are only supposed to tilt the hinge slightly, clip it in, and then tighten the screws...

Very grateful for any help!

Hello Tucani,

I had the same problem as you and today I went back to Ikea and had a nice saleswoman show me how it works... )

I hope I can explain it somewhat clearly: so - to get the hinge onto the aluminum frame of the Morebo glass door, you have to hook the hinge with the upper side into the aluminum frame, tilt it slightly and pull it towards you with great pressure, lift it slightly and press down at the bottom with pressure... it should eventually sit rock solid and *click*, you don't even have to tighten the screws much, the hinge actually holds on its own in the frame.

It is important that the screws are not already screwed in a bit, they have to stick out at the top, otherwise they prevent the hinge from snapping into the aluminum frame.

For me, it actually worked in the end - but it is very, very fiddly!

During my visit today I also bought the lamp Textur - during assembly it turned out that the topmost lamp socket does not get power, so now I have to trot back there again... I hadn’t known such shoddy workmanship from IKEA before.

I wish you good luck!

I wanted to write to you just now as I was also at Ikea today What reassured me was that it took a long time before anyone could help me there Such a note wouldn't be bad for the next assembly instructions. But now my door is also hanging. Best regards!

Then that would be settled...

Have fun with your doors.
