Aren't you mistaken? Do you really want to store this amount of soil on your property? That will never go well.

Regarding the price for the stones, that's about right, paid around 4000 euros for 8 meters about 5 years ago.

so we had about 400m³ on the property (1050sqm), that was already a really big pile^^ we then transported 650t away and distributed the rest on the hillside property

Of course, your soil will

Valid point, with a 1400 sqm property, 650 m3 is a very large amount to store and work in.

We also have the option to transport 300 m3 to another property on the street; they need the soil for backfilling. However, I think we won't have to move that much. So we'll wait first to see what's left after the backfilling. The house will be built on a slope. We will position it slightly above street level, so the northern corner of the basement will be exactly at ground level. However, the southwest corner of the basement is 1.3 m below ground level. From the building edge to the southwestern end of the property, there are still 21 m that slope down slightly; this part is to be filled. We'll see how much fits in there. That will be our lawn area. (So filling about 1.3 m over 21 m length and 15-20 m depth, plus working space, plus some soil in front of the house for leveling) If the amount cannot be stored on the property, it will be transported to the neighboring property. It should cost around 1900 EUR for 300 m3. Still inexpensive, as we probably won't have to take anything to the landfill.
