Deleted… sorry… already in the opening post.
It should look like in the link from Rörvikshus. wide window frames inside & outside, not too smoothly sanded wood, subtle details indeed...Where do you see the special features in the construction of the details that deviate from their usual execution?
In the end, we built massively and only adopted some elements of the architecture of an American house because unfortunately, my husband wasn’t enthusiastic, but I would have obtained quotes from Rörvikshus, Greenville, and Bostonhaus (a small company in the Berlin area that only builds American houses). There was surprisingly a lot of negative feedback on Eskjohus on the internet. Possibly, Danhaus still offers something in that direction at affordable prices. Baufritz has a kind of Cape Cod house in their reference folder, but they are generally extremely expensive and rather want to attract eco-health living customers; personally, I would then rather try to build smaller with Rörvikshus or give Greenville a chance—there you also have a lot of choice during the selection process from the appropriate style, and not just mainly typical German or very modern fittings as is common with prefab house builders. I’m curious to see how it goes with you; I would have really liked your design too!
I haven’t heard yet that they are particularly high-priced in their genre. Hopefully, you don’t equate that with plain ordinary "prefab" houses (?)We would have done it immediately with Rörvikshus. The houses are great and the contacts are top. However, the price didn’t work out.
No, they are not particularly high-priced - on the contrary. Nevertheless, it is too much for us, as "our" house is quite elaborate.I have not heard yet that they are especially high-priced in their genre. Hopefully, you are not indexing that to plain "prefabricated" houses (?)
