Hello Markus,

even though natural gas is a fossil fuel, the primary energy factor and CO2 emissions are also positive from an ecological point of view. For the operation of the heat pump, you will only be able to rely poorly on your self-generated photovoltaic power in winter, when most of the heating energy is needed. Therefore, under normal conditions, the electricity is drawn from the grid with the German power plant mix, which is by no means CO2-neutral.

: A COP greater than 5 sounds interesting. How would you estimate the proportion of hot water? The heat distribution then takes place via underfloor heating?

Best regards, Erik from moderne.Heizung

In summer I have about 1 to 1.5kWh daily power demand for hot water, calculated over the year somewhere between 25 and 35 percent. The brine inlet temperature is quite high in summer, and I keep the hot water temperature relatively low, so the temperature difference is not that high. And underfloor heating of course, without a heating buffer storage or anything like that.

:

May I ask what temperature you run at, whether you only allow the preparation at certain times, and what hysteresis you have there?

46 degrees, 5 degrees hysteresis, no time specifications. Since we do not have a large storage tank, the water is changed often enough, so I have little concern about legionella.

OK, thanks for the info.

At the moment I have 55 degrees, also 5 degrees hysteresis, but a time specification (no idea why I even set that). Additionally, the circulation runs twice a day, but at least in the evening I will turn it off - even without it, surprisingly it takes very little time for hot water to come...

However, 400l tank, but high water consumption in the daily shower.

Still need to tinker with that...

How many people are supposed to live in the 400 m²? (Disclaimer: I personally don't care, even if it's only a handful of people. But then you shouldn't call it "sustainable." Maybe you are building a multi-family house, which would be interesting again, that doesn't happen very often in this forum )
