4.5 for only 1 Mitsubishi, so no multisplit. I am still considering whether it would be better to install the air conditioning centrally in the hallway in the basement instead of in the 12m2 guest room, where I would work/sleep in the heat. Would it work with an 18000 BTU unit, so that cold air could be basically blown through the door from the hallway into the room? The offer for Samsung Windfree is 1000 cheaper.

Of course, it depends on the actual circumstances, but yes, it is possible to cool the entire house with a large device if it is strategically placed and delivers the necessary power.

Strategically, it would be in the entrance area/hallway on the basement level, where all rooms have access? I just think that I will later regret only having air conditioning in one room. Besides, the problem in such a 12 m2 room is that the air conditioner blows on you no matter how you position it.

Yes, the highest point in the house. Airflow should preferably be directed towards the warmest room with the possibility for the air to reach the ground floor below. This has to be decided on site.

If you have concerns, you only have two options.

1. Preparation of indoor units in all rooms you want to air-condition (electricity, refrigerant lines, wastewater).
2. Ducted unit, that is a central unit that transports cooled air through ventilation ducts into the rooms (common in the USA). Not to be confused with a controlled residential ventilation system.

Thank you. Then the decision is relatively simple - air conditioning in the room and door to other rooms/hallway open or the air conditioner in the hallway and cold air into the rooms through the open doors. A air conditioning technician should be able to advise accordingly during the inspection, so far only the offer for 1 room has been created.

I have decided on the Samsung Windfree 12 (AR 12TXFAWKX/AR12TXFCAWKN)... The price-performance ratio convinced me. I will hang the unit in my study on the ground floor so that I can cool the hallway and other rooms a bit through the door. The outdoor unit will be installed in the parking lot, with the lines run under the insulation from the ground floor to the basement/downstairs. 70mm core drilling. What is better – all (cooling, electrical) in one pipe together or simply loose separately?
