No. Honestly, no. It must still be allowed to tell the truth when the emperor has no clothes. Furthermore, the OP claims that it is a contradiction as found in art and nature. Anyone making such claims should also be able to provide examples. I actually have a fitting association from nature: oddballs are known to arise in nature through mutations, which are mostly not viable and are often aborted by the mother’s womb. Thinking a bit further, you quickly come to cancer cells, which as unwanted mutations also form a kind of appendage that you would most like to get rid of. :D I do hope, however, that the OP doesn’t take the comments too much to heart. If he is happy with it and can handle the response, then we can not care. :)

I find it grotesque to speak of "truth" in connection with optical perception. Everyone probably perceives something different than the truth ;) In this context, please do not conceal that mutations are a central building block of evolution. Without them, we would not exist in this form today. Mutations can certainly also bring about positive traits that prevail over the non-mutated variant. Without this variability (in this case in genetic material), there would be no further development of organisms ;)

Strange point of view.
If someone walks by and says "Wow, such an ugly porch roof," then I agree with you. Keep walking, it’s not your problem, just look away...

But if someone consciously goes public... and nothing else but "public" is the internet. Then you have to be able to live with criticism. That is the purpose of a forum, it is not a pure cheerleading club.

And the question about snow load and drainage is by no means "talking it down," but simply a matter of building substance and personal safety. If 200kg of snow + roof ever falls on your or his head, you might remember my words.

PS:
This also applies to the idea of moving out in the sticks, where the m² costs 50 EUR and then expecting excellent fiber optic internet promptly, like in central Berlin...

I expect that because that's how it was sold to us.

When I am told something about non-viable mutations in connection with my beautiful, new canopy, it does not leave me indifferent and I find the discussion quite interesting. I have designed "functional objects" all my life and feel quite comfortable with that. Of course, the people who come to me are mostly those who like what I make. The others give me fewer orders (aside from the fact that I am now retired). It doesn't happen to me very often that someone writes that they think what I do is silly, and I certainly don't want to just "brush it off." However— as mentioned at the very beginning of the topic— humor is part of my work for me, and while I consider "design" important and meaningful, I do not believe it can save the world. Therefore, from my point of view, it is not tragic if someone cannot relate to what I produce. I thank you already for the lively discussion so far. At the moment, I don't have anything else interesting to add. Let's see, maybe something will come to me later :)

I had actually expected this argument from the OP. But perhaps it was too embarrassing for him to speak of an evolutionary development of building technology or design in his construction. But he is surely happy that you want to put that shoe on yourself... :D
