I definitely did not want to impose a ban on speaking, I'm sorry if you understood it that way. I simply don't consider it a good achievement of humanity that negative opinions about visually "different" things are sometimes communicated in a hurtful manner. That is not helpful to anyone. At most, it makes someone sad; otherwise, it benefits no one to deny the object the term "art." After all, a core idea of some art forms is to create new things, to challenge, and to cross boundaries.
If someone feels the urge to express themselves negatively, for whatever reason, I still find an "it's not really my thing" clearly fairer than the more generalized statements that have sometimes been made here.
