We have three small children – they notice very quickly if something is too hot to touch. They don’t even have to put their hands on the fireplace doors for that... (nothing else gets hot anyway).

Well, upbringing or not... children do what they want when they are unobserved or feel like it... You can ask any experienced parent or educator... And when they have three children, then the thing stays off for at least 3 winters... Well, if you like it. For me, it wouldn't be anything... Oh, and then there's the heat, which just floats wasted right out the front door as soon as it's open... A matter of taste...

Yes, my almost three-year-old notices it too, the one-year-old as well, but unfortunately their experimental curiosity can still be too strong. And for those up to one year old, not to mention, they don't understand anything yet and pull themselves up on everything in their way! Whatever it is, they have to decide. For me, it would be a no-go even though it certainly looks stylish!

Constructed problems - the unit stays off when the children are there (if you are very anxious), otherwise these creatures usually sleep in the evening and then as parents you make yourself comfortable even more.

And yes, when a front door is opened, all warmth immediately escapes - man, of course that is not perfect, but stay in reality...

The fireplace-children issue basically exists and has little to do with our floor plan. To reassure you, we have toddlers in the family and therefore already have an idea of what it means when the kids run wild in the house. If it’s okay with you, I would like to get back to the main topic. The argument that heat escapes through the front door when it is opened is correct. However, this is basically the case in many houses with open floor plans and does not bother us further. As already mentioned, it is more of a cozy fireplace than a heating cost reduction. For this reason, we also wouldn’t walk past the fireplace window countless times. What would I want in the study if I am sitting comfortably in front of the fireplace? Moreover, the heat spreads throughout the entire hallway and entrance area and does not stand in the corner like a sauna.

Actually, nothing has really changed in the floor plan. Doors have become wider. I would be interested in the dimensions of individual walls, because, for example, the furnishing of the upper plan children's room does not work that way at all. At least you can hardly open the wardrobe. Although you have now drawn wardrobes everywhere, including continuously in front of the children's bathroom, the niches all look at most about 40 to 45 cm deep.

I also don't yet see that children like to play in the passage area as a given, and they quickly become teenagers who also love their own retreat area, which then can also gladly include a 140 cm bed.

I also find the window to the utility room directly next to the entrance door not very inviting. And I don’t really see space for a stroller, car seat, etc.

In the dressing room, I would rather put a window on the right side of the plan; it can then be better furnished.

Parents’ bathroom... the toilet space looks very tight, and the bathtub positioned so fully in front of the window also seems relatively impractical, since the window would probably be difficult to open for ventilating the bathroom.

And then I would be interested in a view including the roof.
