This is repeatedly claimed here – and as in every other thread, I assert that this will not be measurable. So far, no proof has been provided for either theory. That is why bonding AND clicking continue lively.

That's basic physics. What is there to prove?

Then the layer of air under clicked flooring would have to transport heat just as quickly as the adhesive layer under glued flooring. Since air itself is certainly a much poorer heat conductor than the adhesive, the difference would have to result purely from the thickness: adhesive >> air.

However, if that is not the case, identical surface temperatures of a floor must be "bought" by higher temperatures of the heating coils the slower heat can be transported vertically. And that means more energy consumption.

At what point an increase in kWh per year is considered significant and could be measured accordingly, I will leave open.

Why should one give up on proof specifically in physics? Without evidence, a theory is after all just what it is: a theory[emoji6]

But anyway, how practically relevant is the difference between bonding and clicking now, for example, in euros per year? Do you happen to have any numbers on hand? [emoji4]

That's what I’m saying – but still everyone claims that the little speck of air would eventually show up on the heating bill...

130 square meters of vinyl clicked together cause about €400 heat pump electricity consumption per year for me. Even if I could save an incredible 10% by gluing it down (I estimate it’s at most 1-2%, but I don’t want to be too rebellious), that would never influence my decision for or against one or the other type of flooring...

Hellö, I want to bring up the topic again here and ask if any of you have installed Clickvinyl in the bathroom?

We are considering installing it in the bathroom, among other places, because we don’t have underfloor heating and tiles feel too cold on my feet.

Would you know of any reasons against it? The walls and shower will then have regular tiles.
