Wood stove

Hi!

I recently replaced my electric stove with a wood stove. The stove was "connected" by a buddy. However, it keeps happening that the fire simply goes out suddenly. You can probably imagine what happens then. It starts smoking like crazy! I have no idea what could be causing this. At first, the fire still burns wildly, and "zap", it goes out...

hm I would spontaneously guess that something is wrong with the ventilation. In an oven / stove like that there has to be a very specific air circulation so that the fire burns continuously and well. Probably something is wrong with that.

Hi, what I don't understand is: why it works perfectly once, and then not again. I would understand if there were always problems now. But that's not the case. Most of the time, the stove works great. Best regards, sennor :confused:

then I guess either bad wood OR that it simply happens that the ventilation holes in the wood are sometimes blocked and sometimes not, so that sometimes air passes through well and sometimes not. But I’m not very familiar with it, just a guess.

Yes, I think I will have to consult a professional. It is simply very dangerous when the fire in the stove goes out and then all the smoke escapes. But thank you for your efforts!

something came to my mind about what it could be. Do you live in a house with 2 floors, and can you also heat up the lower floor?
One thing is for sure: it must be the exhaust.
