:D It's electronics you don't have to worry about, especially since manual operation is still possible in case of failure. For a wood stove, you can certainly do without it. Our masonry heater is the regular heating system and is now in daily operation, so that's something different.

Our wood stove will also run without external fresh air supply. Since we have a controlled residential ventilation system, the chimney sweep says a pressure monitor must be installed. Unfortunately, this costs 750.- but is required by him because of the controlled residential ventilation system. In the previous house, we had a Hase stove for 30 years without anything else and it also ran smoothly without fresh air supply. Ask the chimney sweep, he will tell you anyway what is necessary. However, I will still install an exhaust gas monitor for a few euros in the room, although basically this would not be necessary for us.

Really? Where does the air come from then? I've never seen that in a modern house. Our chimney sweep rejected that immediately, well also controlled residential ventilation, but even without that, I would find it strange.
Our pressure monitor gave up after 3 years, repair costs €1000... The burn control would have been an additional module then.

You can also see it with us. The air comes from the room, there is enough of it. 44 sqm living room plus 16 sqm hallway (no door in between), but without controlled residential ventilation and only with a recirculating range hood, with that the room-air-dependent wood stove was approved by the chimney sweep without an outside air supply, the living room alone would have been sufficient. The stove also burns great, when lighting it is sensible to open a window for a few minutes.
