Windows in black or anthracite? Heating issue

RAL7016 and DB703 are very similar. We have 7016 aluminum covers on the windows and a DB703 terrace roof. The difference is hardly noticeable. I wouldn't choose black just because of maintenance. Scratches from wiping are much more visible than on anthracite. I would consider expansion problematic with window dimensions like yours. Less so with a 1m window. I recently saw a new building with beige window frames, which I found very nice and above all low-maintenance. Pollen is hardly visible. Easy to wipe clean because fine scratches will probably be hard to see and no overheating problem.

So we have windows in anthracite and every now and then you can hear a crack. Not often, but when it cools down in the evening and you’re lying in bed, you can sometimes hear cracking.
At the large window front in the bedroom, a lower light even had a crack; fortunately that was replaced under warranty. Whether that was caused by the anthracite is, of course, hard to say.
The worst, however, is the door we have on the east side. Also anthracite. If the sun completely hits it for a whole morning, it really warps quite a bit. In the afternoon everything fits again. You can definitely notice how intensely the materials react to the heat.
Everything from Schüco, so also good quality.

I would also rather leave it (Black or Anthracite).

With aluminum, I think you can think quite differently. Gold is a great color that really comes to life in aluminum and offers a great contrast to all other colors.
This trend with windows in black or anthracite is quite played out by now.
What is often not considered: The window glass, seen from the outside, is mostly already dark to black unless it is dark, then usually shutters and blinds will be closed.
That means the dark window frames simply enlarge the window visually without the color really serving as a contrast or division.

By the way, we would have liked to have green windows, but it was (for us) too expensive.
