Hello,
in our newly built house, unfortunately, a window in the bathroom was installed crookedly. This only became really noticeable after the windowsill (and thus the entire bathroom) had been tiled.
The interior windowsill has a width of approx. 60 cm. On the far left, it is 21.5 cm deep. On the far right, only 20 cm deep.
The window can be opened and closed normally. It stays in position when left half-open. From the outside, the crooked window is not noticeable – unless you measure it.
I do not want to have the tiles broken out, the window torn out, and a new one installed correctly. That would be a bit exaggerated. Nevertheless, I did not order a crooked window for my house. My question is therefore – what is a realistic amount that I could propose as a price reduction to the construction company? I think an agreement can certainly be reached. They also have little interest in tearing everything down again.
The window is approx. 80*40 cm.
Thank you
