No, the problem is different.
In 1980, the pension subsidy from the federal budget was 0 billion DM... today it is just under 140 billion EUR, with a steep upward trend.

The 140 billion are missing, especially since we have massively gone into debt for social benefits and on top of the 140 billion, about 40 to 50 billion go to interest.
When I was born, the debt of the FRG, back then still West Germany, was around 250 billion EUR converted.
Today it is officially 2,500 billion EUR, in reality much more, because all the special funds are not included and also the obligations that have been entered into. Lindner once calculated that, and it came to 4 or 5 trillion.

The core of the problem is therefore that almost 50% of the federal budget can no longer be invested because it is used to pay interest and finance the pensioners. Pensioners who often do not live as precariously as it is often portrayed... the grandma who has to collect deposit bottles, she exists. But she is a small minority.

And our bridges are rotting away under our cars... it is only a matter of time before one collapses during the evening rush hour.

Unfortunately, these numbers alone do not say anything. The ratio compared to GDP is more meaningful. The increase is then “only” 50% instead of 1,000%.
Just saying. There are plenty of other comparisons that unfortunately undermine your raw numbers.

Oh, I see... before we start spouting clichés and chit-chat again. My parents feel the same way. They were responsible for me, and now I am responsible for my children, not for my parents. Just as my parents were not responsible for their parents. That is an absurd idea; you can only be responsible for something you yourself have done or decided. But unfortunately, many older people see it differently today. Today it’s no longer "women and children first," but rather "pensioners first, then retirees... and yes, dogs are allowed, but grandchildren should please drown together with their parents."

It was to be expected that your clan was united in their own round tower. One alone can’t be so.... in his way (that’s how this saying goes, right?). In the end, you were still actively involved with arguments when it came to inheritance; when it comes to inheritance, the boy is quickly responsible and fiddles with daddy’s purse before disappearing again and letting others bear the responsibility..... But apparently there are people, outside your concept of social coexistence, who do such things and even gladly so, and they don’t already talk about inheritance like you do now. Don’t forget: Whoever (your own quote) "sorts out his own friends one after another (note the choice of words) and insults them here as lazy parasites" does not serve as a role model for a social community, he is better off staying in the tower. You have repeatedly outed your mindset here, everyone can read that.

Your blood pressure. Get less upset, argue more. Just the fact that absolute numbers are used instead of relative ones when comparing Year X with today. Or that no one asks where 140 billion in pension fund subsidies go. In fact, a drop in demand and thus reduced income in the economy occurs immediately when things are simply saved on. What is alarming is not the mindset of individuals, but how receptive perceived truths are and to whom. Among the likes is also an alleged fellow teacher with a full science degree, meaning trained analytical thinking instead of opinion based on feelings. Getting upset doesn’t help here. First wonder, then argue. I no longer wonder about anything and go straight to step 2.

.....it's usually rather too low, it helps more to get it moving a bit but thanks. Actually, it doesn't really upset me much, and I am aware that I won't change it, but occasionally I encounter their way of speaking and also quite clearly address it or don't just let the bad stand; I spent almost my entire professional life dealing with such things, so it doesn't really shock me. By the way, I was a teacher for one year at a German school in South America, so I am really not surprised, the mix of characters is no different than anywhere else. That's exactly what he will never understand, that it is not just about top-bottom-right-left-wrong-right.
