And once again, thank you for the tips. We will occupy about 40 seats, but these will not be permanently occupied by users, so a 24 (port switch) might probably be enough. On the other hand, a simple 48-port switch is not very expensive. I was thinking of using a Ubiquiti Networks UAP-AC-PRO as an access point, as this is a completely different world compared to a simple repeater, which in my opinion only "extends the signal weakened."

Is Telekom Entertain planned? Then the switch should support "IGMP v3". Almost every managed and smart managed switch can do that.

I only put two UBNT AC PROs into operation in the house last week. In the basement, I have the 24-port POE switch. It works perfectly, and with the cloud key, there's also a nice dashboard for management. All in all, I have also run 48 ports to the patch panel, but I am still starting with the 24-port switch since not all ports will be patched in the foreseeable future. With the 48-port model, I would definitely consider the noise level...

Phew, good question, I can't say at the moment. I wanted to rely on a Sat IP converter but you never know...

I can well imagine that a 24 port switch is enough for now.

The noise level should not be an issue since it should be in the utility room in the 19" rack, or does it hum so loudly that it goes through walls?
