Yes, something has to go on it, since slots, sockets, etc. should also be closed.

Am I to understand that LUP222 is not recommended? The bag costs me about €7 (30kg), but I don't know if surcharges for lightness are okay.

No, you asked:

and I said:

Should I have explicitly mentioned that I also cannot advise against any specific exterior plaster product?
I am not a specialist retailer for building materials and therefore not experienced in comparing exterior plaster products A, B, ... Y or Z.
Therefore, I only advised you regarding the interior plaster to simply omit it in a garage, because from my point of view interior plaster for garages or utility basements is mercilessly dispensable. I have been living without an "appendix" for half a century and have had no problems with garages without plaster and a utility basement without screed. My best garage (pumice without interior plaster) was even literally "bottomless." To go so far as to advocate such voluntary asceticism would be overdoing it—but I gladly confirm from my own long-term experience that there is no real disadvantage in this regard. Cars are architecturally actually not demanding.

Slots are filled with putty, and switches and sockets are also available "surface-mounted."

Unfortunately, I don’t believe that, if Now you want to bother your wife with this, to put it kindly, "First World Problem." We were actually talking about two questions, namely 1. whether a certain product, plaster XYZ, is the right one; and 2. whether it is also used for interiors. Regarding 1., I tell you myself as rather only a semi-Number1 expert in understanding women, that typically it is not one of the female core interest areas to be familiar with building plasters. Foundation / Camouflage is not really comparable to it; and regarding 2., the conclusion from "abandon all hope that garage interior plastering is worth any consideration at all" automatically (and until just now I thought it was actually self-evident) also is "never jeopardize your marital peace by bothering your dear wife with such trivialities." For these two reasons, in my opinion, it is an excellent sympathy killer to delegate this to the woman. Women have fine antennas to take the core message "Honey, I’m fretting over complete nonsense, would you take this off my hands?" badly.

I think there is nothing to add. My garage has a wonderful back wall made of L-blocks inside, which retain the slope next to it. I would never in my life come up with the idea to plaster this wall. However, if the creator really has too much money left: climate light plaster is more for living and damp rooms. It also insulates slightly and can be used universally in all interior rooms. I did my whole house inside with it. For a garage, it’s a bit like using a sledgehammer to crack a nut. And it is definitely not suitable for the outside.

Garage is not just any garage! Some don’t even have an extra socket, except the one for the gate opener. :p Workbench, sockets, burn marks, tiled floor… everyone as they like…
