Normatively, I am not aware of any wet rooms. Only damp rooms, wet rooms, and dry rooms. The latter includes, for example, the bathroom. It has the necessary regulations with its installation zones.
Regardless of that, I would always install these so-called wet room sockets and switches in the garage. They are usually IP44 and with covers, making them perfectly suitable for this purpose. Only with continuous UV exposure should the plastic be resistant enough so that it does not crumble away after a few years. The sockets are often already IP68 or better in this case.
