Which IP protection class for garage sockets?

Unfortunately, they are only available for purchase and I think I wouldn’t understand them anyway because of the technical jargon. If the current IP20 version is sufficient, I would leave it as it is.

Have some installed with a lid. That would be completely sufficient.

It doesn’t have to be. The garage usually has a roof. If the water tap is next to it, it’s a different matter, but there is no mention of that.

Just the day before yesterday, we discussed it thoroughly with our electrician: opinions differ when it comes to garages. Yes, it is an uninsulated space that is not nearly as airtight as a residential building, but that does not automatically make it a damp room. Therefore, it becomes difficult to enforce appropriate equipment if it is not precisely regulated.

Garage = box with lid + switch as access point. I have never noticed flush-mounted boxes in garages ;)

With access points with a flip cover, I have had good experiences with Gira. Otherwise, I have just installed Berker flush-mounted stainless steel boxes with flip cover for outdoors (covered terrace), which definitely make a better impression than the common Gira TX and standard with flip cover, and they are also cheaper (with the Gira flush-mounted boxes, the covers always break after some time, the springs are a joke)
