Which insurances are necessary?

A very interesting topic. There are certainly some insurances that you don't necessarily have to take out.

We take out legal expenses insurance at most 3 months before construction starts.

My sister works at an insurance company - luckily I get good advice from her.

I am not aware of any insurance that offers legal expenses coverage that covers house construction.

Then you are about 3 months ahead of us.
Watch out for the waterproofing. You, or even better an external site manager/inspector, should urgently be on site before the working space (with what?) is filled and hopefully properly compacted.

The TÜV comes and takes a look at it. You understand?
