We have not yet made a final decision - but it will probably be a light yellow tone / light beige or something similar.
Under no circumstances will we choose a white house - even if it might be somewhat cheaper.
We see this with my parents' neighbors. They had a white house and had to repaint it after 10 years due to general dirt. My parents' house (built at the same time) is a light yellow tone - and you can hardly see anything. By the way, the house is not located in a region characterized by heavily polluting industry (it was in the past - but no longer).
The neighbors have now also decided on a light shade.
However, our windows will be white. We would have liked to have colored ones here, but the price surcharge for colored windows was significantly higher than for a light color of the house. But window frames can be cleaned (which is rather difficult with exterior plaster).
I received one tip from the Bauherren-Schutzbund:
Make sure that the plaster is properly tinted. If the exterior plaster is only painted over and then some of the paint rubs off (due to a passing bicycle or something similar), a white stripe remains on the wall.
