Good morning, I need your advice again, specifically for the installation of my oven and the ceramic hob. Ikea offers two options: a) only for the oven with a 20cm high drawer, b) for oven and hob with a 10cm high drawer. However, in the kitchens shown, there is always a hob even with option a), for example this . Since I would prefer a 20cm high drawer, I would rather choose a), or is that not possible and the images are just made that way for aesthetic reasons? Unfortunately, the "what is included in the price" section does not list the components, and the assembly instructions do not help me either.

This actually works starting from a 3.8 cm thick countertop. Otherwise, the cooktop does not have enough space. (IKEA-external cooktops often also require a 4 cm countertop.)

Hi, thanks! I was thinking more about the magnetic field. As for the space, that's possible, see [Bilder].

I had the same problem when assembling the kitchen. I wanted a 20 cm Maximera drawer at the bottom and, of course, not this panel at the top. If you buy on site, you have to go to the advisor anyway, who will then put together exactly this cabinet for you. So the ME/MA 429, as in your example a., but with Maximera drawer and with the zinc plate bottom, as in your example b.

I think the metal bottom is used because it gives you enough room for adjustment since it is height-adjustable. I have a Siemens oven with a height of 60 cm and the ceramic hob above it in a 2.8 cm thick Personlig countertop. That fits without any problems.

In hindsight, I would have preferred a normal reinforced bottom, even if I had to drill the holes myself. I somehow don’t find the metal bottom very well designed or easy to install.

It depends on the oven and cooktop which minimum thickness of the countertop or alternatively the 10 cm panel is necessary. So study the manufacturer specifications for the respective models.

The reinforced base doesn't seem to be available anymore (individually?). :(

@Bloom: However, induction zones require more space than regular ceramic hobs due to ventilation.
