Where is it appropriate to position warm air vents from the fireplace?

Hello.

We are getting a brick fireplace and now the question arises how to sensibly position the grills that blow the warm air either to the right or left of the fireplace. My concern is that if the grill is on the left towards the living room wall and couch, it heats up quite well in that area, whereas the entire right side (living room and open kitchen) gets nothing from it. To what extent the ventilation system distributes the air is the question...
Advantage of ventilation grill on the left of the fireplace = less noticeable. On the right = more noticeable, but possibly the warm air is better distributed. The fireplace also radiates heat through the glass. Additionally, it will be built with fireclay and extra storage stones. I assume this will cause the heat emission to be relatively long and even.
Where should we better position the air grills? Left or right on the fireplace? You can find more details in the drawn floor plan. Thanks in advance for your opinions

That depends entirely on the type of stove or window. For us, for example, only about 10% of the heat passes through the window at the front. When you stand in front of it, it is quite hot, but overall that doesn't amount to much heat. How about placing the grille in the middle above the stove, so neither on the left nor on the right? Or doesn't that work because of the type of stove?

Well, as I said: it is a built-in heater fireplace and we can freely choose the position of the grilles. And for me, it's about finding out where the position makes sense.

Then I would say left and right if possible or alternatively in the middle above the oven.

I would install it on the right. The room will not get too cold when the fireplace is lit, and the ventilation system distributes the air additionally. If you install it on the left, your inventory in the living wall might get too much of it.
