Hello everyone,

Regarding a shower enclosure, I would like to ask for your experiences or advice.

Attached you will find the floor plan of a small bathroom with a shower. On the right side of the shower, there is a lateral opening of 1.27 m to the bathroom.
Which shower enclosure would be suitable here?

1) Fixed glass panel of, for example, 67 cm.
This results in a passage width of 60 cm. Is that enough?
Thus, 97 cm of the shower area would be covered to the right. Is that sufficient?
Or would water then splash into the bathroom in the last 60 cm, where the open entrance area is?

2) Or is a glass sliding door with a fixed glass panel needed, so that there is about 60 cm of passage?

3) Another idea?

Thank you in advance for your contributions.

On the wall of the shower area, opposite the shower, something is drawn that looks like a chimney. If that is a projection, the 60cm passage will be tight. Go to the glazier and have a custom-made element with a fixed part and a hinged door made to measure. That costs hardly more than a DIY store solution.

The projection is a floor and ceiling breakthrough. In the finished shower, only the smooth preliminary masonry is present.

EDIT:
I have edited the image again and removed the supposed projection.

Hello

Main bathroom or guest shower?
What are the diamond-patterned surfaces in the shower?

We have roughly variant 1 and it works well. You just have to wipe away the 30 sprays briefly after showering and everything is fine. Better than doors with seals, joints, etc. We don’t have any glass at all and no door, which is wonderfully resistant.

Only one wall towards the washbasin. Frosted glass, or covered with satin film. Any car sticker can do it for little money. No door, nothing. Enough. Bet?
