For what? I currently see no benefit in everyday life.

The benefit in everyday life? Quite simple: multimedia. Young people want Prime, Netflix, YouTube, Twitch, etc... that doesn't come into the rooms via the sat cable.

The worse the situation, the better and more extensive the equipment must be. This will not have changed even in 20 or 30 years. In the 500-inhabitant village ten kilometers away from the BAB, you already have to offer at least underfloor heating, a double garage, and enough space to the neighbor to motivate the well-off couples from the Yuppie big-city district to actually show up for the viewing appointment despite rain or swimming pool weather. In Munich or Frankfurt, on the other hand, in 20 years you will still be able to easily sell energy guzzlers, gray facades, green-brown bathrooms, and terraced middle houses with towel gardens to men or women.

For good Wi-Fi in a single-family home, you already need network cabling to supply the Wi-Fi access points. Everything that is stationary should in my opinion also be connected directly to the LAN. This leaves plenty of bandwidth for mobile devices. Another point in favor of LAN is the higher transfer speeds.

To what extent you expand the whole network is debatable, but anyone who still sets up entirely without it today is stuck in the last millennium.

One outlet on each floor and possibly also by the TVs. Normally, no more is needed.

Even my TVs run via Wi-Fi despite having a box. Because it simply works perfectly.

And Wi-Fi radiation compared to electric cars and co. is completely negligible.

If Bookstar is good enough for you, great, but it wouldn't be anything for me. LAN just works and you don't have to deal with the somewhat annoying WLAN.
